Michael's big band chart Sketch Artist was commended for Honorable Mention in the 2009 ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards! Check it out! Michael was commissioned to arrange all of the music for "Proyecto Jazz Peru," the big-band centerpiece of the 2008 Festival Jazz En Lima jazz festival. In addition to writing the music, he also played piano with the band which featured legendary drummer Ndugu Chancler who can be heard on Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and countless other recordings. |
